The cemented femoral stem has following basic design features:
- The cemented femoral stem is manufactured from High Nitrogen Stainless Steel conforming to ISO 5832-9:2007 “Implants for surgery - Metallic materials - Part 9: Wrought high nitrogen stainless steel” and ASTM F1586-13: “Standard Specification for Wrought Nitrogen Strengthened 21 Chromium- 10 Nickel- 3 Manganese- 2.5 Molybdenum Stainless Steel Alloy bar for surgical implants” and intended to be mated with modular femoral head through 12/14 tapered male trunnion.
- The cemented femoral stem is highly polished, double tapered, collarless design and is intended to be used with bone cement (cemented fixation).
- The cemented femoral stem neck has standard 12/14 taper male trunnion for connection to modular femoral head. 4. This stem is available in 9 different sizes with standard (sizes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) and narrow (sizes 1, 2, 3, 4) neck offsets.
